What We Do

O'NEILL KELLNER & GREEN focuses its practice on helping injured Vermonters and their families. Although we do other kinds of trial work, we primarily represent people who have been harmed through the negligence of others. We also represent the families of those who have died as a result of someone else's actions. Our firm has received the highest ranking--an 'A' rating--from Martindale-Hubbell, the definitive directory of lawyers in the United States

Many of our clients have been injured in motor vehicle accidents. Others have been injured by defective products, dangerous property conditions, or work-related accidents. We also represent people who may have a claim against their own insurance company when the company refuses to pay--for example, for a fire loss or for uninsured motorist coverage.

How We Can Help

WE UNDERSTAND that no legal action can turn back the clock to erase the painful, serious--and often permanent--effects of an accident. But getting the money to pay medical and other bills can make a big difference in putting your life back together. As practical, self-reliant Vermonters, many of our clients are initially reluctant to hire a lawyer--they would rather settle on their own and avoid filing a lawsuit. However, in our experience, insurance companies try to settle for less than the claim is worth to minimize their costs. Since we work for you, not the insurance company, our goal is to maximize your financial recovery.

No Money Up Front

FOR PERSONAL INJURY, wrongful death, and insurance claim cases, we almost always work on a contingency fee basis--you pay us a percentage only if we succeed in obtaining a financial recovery. We pay the costs of pursuing your case, and do not seek reimbursement for out-of-pocket expenses, such as court filing fees, as we proceed. You do not have to pay any money up front.
