After graduating with honors from Cornell Law School, John served as Law Clerk to the Hon. John F. Grady, U.S. District Judge for the Northern District of Illinois. Since then, he has practiced in both Middlebury and Burlington, Vermont.
John focuses his practice on plaintiff’s personal injury, wrongful death, and medical malpractice cases. He is regarded as one of the area’s top personal injury and medical malpractice attorneys with listings in both the Best Lawyers in America and New England Super Lawyers. He was recently selected by Best Lawyers as the Burlington Personal Injury Litigator of the Year for 2010.
John is very active in the legal community. He is a past President of the Vermont Association for Justice (formerly the Vermont Trial Lawyers Association) and is a current member of its Board of Governors. He has also served as Chair of the State of Vermont Judicial Nominating Board, and on his town's School and Zoning Boards.
John lives in the Addison County town of Weybridge, with his wife, their two sons and an assortment of dogs. He is an avid bird hunter and sports fan, and loves to bicycle.
