John has tried numerous cases to verdict and has been recognized in Best Lawyers in America for both Plaintiff’s Personal Injury and Commercial Litigation, and by The American Lawyer and Corporate Counsel as a top commercial litigation lawyer. He frequently presents seminars on trial evidence, techniques, and jury selection. He is a past president of the Vermont Association for Justice and served on its Board of Governors. From 1993 to 2006, he was a member of the Board of Governors of the American Association for Justice.
John also served as the Vermont Bar Association’s representative to the Vermont Legislature’s Medical Malpractice Study Committee, and is an adjunct faculty member at Vermont Law School where he teaches trial advocacy.
John lives in New Haven with his wife Caroline. He serves as the chair of the Town of New Haven’s Development Review Board, and as a board member of Addison County Home Health and Hospice.
